Professional Editing/Query Critique Services
The following fees for services are on average. Some submissions will need less work, others a bit more. Fees are rendered by the hour, but will not exceed more than $10 over estimate.
Query (Fiction or Nonfiction): $25. Includes suggestion on agents or publishers for your particular book.
* Requirement: Use the standard business letter format. Queries are almost always one page. However, for a nonfiction book that includes a lot of research and sources, it may exceed that by half a page.
Novel Synopsis: $50. Three to five double-space pages, approximately 1, 250 words. This is not always the standard (always check the publisher's guidelines, as they vary) but double space allows me room to make comments.
* Requirement: Use Times New Roman/12-point Font.
Press Releases: One single-spaced page. $45.

Claudia Taller is the corporate columnist for Paralegal Today, a regular contributor to Cool Cleveland, and has written for Northern Ohio Live, West Shore Live Well, Muse, Long Weekends, Yahoo!, and The Plain Dealer Sunday Magazine. Her book Ohio’s Lake Erie Winerieswas released in June 2011.
Judy Allen enjoys helping writers achieve greater critical, commercial, and artistic appeal. She has edited manuscripts for suspense, coming-of-age, short stories, contemporary Christian, children’s, romance, sports, self-help and social commentary titles.
